Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

Is a deed legal without signatures

If a deed was drawn up but never signed by the party is it legal and can it be recorded as their property without them signing? Also what if one of them was a minor, a sibling not a child. Would that cause more problems?

If the deed was signed by the Grantor (the one who is giving the property away), it can be recorded. It does not need to be signed by the beneficiary. If the deed is not signed by the Grantor, it cannot be recorded.

There are issues that can result in giving a minor child property. It is best to consult an attorney in your area.
