Legal Question in Discrimination Law in North Dakota

Purchase discrimination

I went to a toysrus store to purchase a barbie house for my daughter for her birthday. They were all out of the item I wanted except for the display.I asked an employee if I could buy the display and I was told no after she went and checked with her supervisor so I purchased something else and left.I went back 2days later and the display was gone. When I asked where it went, they told me that they had sold it.My question is do I have any legal rights to take legal action?

Re: Purchase discrimination

You have not been harmed by this company so you really don't have any reason to sue them. It is at the stores discretion whether to sell a display item or not. The supervisors were probably different on the two different days and made different decisions. If you want to pursue this further write a letter to the stores manager and they might send you a gift certificate.
