Legal Question in Family Law in North Dakota

18 yr old moving out

our daughters friend will be turning 18 mar6 and is wanting move out of her familys home due to a verbal abusive stepmother. we told her she could live with us. will her parents be able to do anything to us or there child if she does comes to live with us? can the parents stop her or make her come back home? she is still a high school student and will graduate in may 09

Once she turns 18, she is an adult and can do whatever she wants, even if she is a high school student. Legally, her parents can't do anything to stop her.
