Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in North Dakota

Lab error

I was recently admitted to a hospital for a diabetic condition. During my stay in ICU I was told by 3 doctors that I had a heart attack which caused my diabetic crisis. I was given several drugs including blood thinners and was being prepared for a procedure to determine the nature of the blockage. They also informed me that would have to have an angioplasty. The day of the procedure I was told that the lab mislabeled my blood and the blood they were basing their diagnosis on was that of a 50-year old man with a heart condition. This is all documented in my hospital records and I would like to know how best to proceed with my complaint to the hospital.

Re: Lab error

What is it that you want to do? Are you looking to file a complaint with the hospital? Are you looking to file a complaint with the State agency that regulates hospitals? Are you looking to sue the hospital for pain and suffering? Did you actually have a procedure done to you based upon the blood work error?
