? forced to testify against employer

I work in a hosp. as a CT Tech. I was on my lunch break visting my ex-wife and her family. Her mom was very sick and on a vent. A DR come into the room to reinsert her trach. with no nurse or resp. tech. He began having difficulty, I got resp for him then had to return to work. As soon as I got to my department I heard a code then the a friend come and got me telling me my ex needed me. Now there looking to sue and are wanting me to testify against my employer. I have a good job and a 10yr carreer, what can I do?

You are in a delicate position. You will have to testify if served a subpeona.
