Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

assault on a police officer??

My boyfriend was in volved in a bar fight. the police were called,we were questioned, we went home. The next day the police came to my door with a summons for my boyfriend who was not home and one for me for disorderly conduct. The officer was nasty to me. (as he was the night before)he asked me to step outside. I kept my cool and asked if he could serve me with this summons at a later time i had a sick child and this was not a good time and he had to come back later anyway to serve my boyfriend. the officer handed me the summons,I handed it back but it droped on the ground. I informed him again this was not a good time.

he informed he was gonna arrest me for obstruction of justice.I closed the door.(mind you my screen door was shut) this officer proceded to kick in my door and arrested me in front of my child,as i was being cuffed my boyfriend entered through the back of the house.

I am charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, and assult on a police officer.(because this officer claims his foot was caught in my door) Did this officer have the right to do this? What warrants forceable entry in the state of ohio?
