Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

In Ohio when is a speedy Trial supose to be offered, and what is the procedure( time line for the triaal and pro�s and con�s) And is there a law that it has to be offered the day of your arrainment? Thank you for your time and assistance.

The right to a speedy trial starts running from the time you are arrested. You must be brought to trial within 90 days if you are in jail, 270 days if you are out on bond. motions for continuances and some other motions filed by the defense can toll that time. That right to a speedy trial can also be waived by the defendant.
