i am inquiring about a rape case. i was attacked in 1988 and the police collected all of the evidence along with teh rape kit. the case was never solved but i have seen teh person who had sone this . when i went down to the police they tell me they threw away all of the evidence and the clothes ect. can they do this to a case that was never solved. they basically told me that there was nothing they could do for me. what about my rights
