Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Ohio

Discrimination in a public school by an academic program

I go to a public school in Ohio and I was given an application for the National Honor Society. I filled it out and I was denied. But a person was accepted that had lower grade point average than I had. There is more details but it's too long to type them all out. I need a suggestion as to what I should do and if there is anything legally that I can do. I feel that no matter what good I put on the application they would have turned it around to make everything negative. This is a very unique situation. I am getting cheated and insulted maybe even harassed.
