Legal Question in DUI Law in Ohio

Avoiding DUI Roadblock

Is it legal in Ohio to avoid a DUI roadblock? I am semi-familiar with the ''Sitz'' case, but that was years ago? How are these cases handles NOWADAYS? I was driving home, saw a road block ahead and proceeded to take a LEGAL right hand turn into a hotel parking lot. An officer ran over, questioned me, did the field sobriety tests and I was convicted. I was also driving under suspension (12 points) and my license plates were expired. (Also had a prior DUI last year!) BUT, did he have the right to stop me to begin with? (4th Amendment) Please HELP!!!!

Re: Avoiding DUI Roadblock

Did you say you were convicted? If so, how could anyone help you at this point? Do you mean charged instead? This is going to take a conversation to resolve, so please feel free to call....216.952.1990
