Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

I have a 90 + year old gentlemen that i have known since i was a small child i have helped he and his wife for years in the upkeep of there home and his wifes care ( she was in wheel chair last 10 yrs before she passed) I have continued to help with house hold matters and am now writing his bill and shoping ect. as he is starting to lose his eyesite and can no longer read small print but does continue to drive. he has been asking me to marry him for past three years so that he can leave me his inheritance with less hassle, but I am not willing to do that. ( I am 50 yrs and there is no inapprpriate relations..He just doen't have anybody else)He now wants to adopt me. I have found that adult adoption in such case can be done..but I read that I would not be eligable for any inheritance as a result from my biologicle parents. Is this true? I do not believe his asstes our much he lives in a run down slab home that has never been updated and I am not their to gain his inheritance but he has asked me to look intoAdult adoption. He has no children and just one nephew who lives out of country and is in his late 70's

can you tell me what would be the personal ramifications of adult adoption

thanks Marybeth

In Ohio, the simplest way of doing this would be to take him to a lawyer and have the lawyer write up a will the way that he wants it. Most lawyers will do that for $150.00 or less.
