Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Custody Case

I have been asked to write a letter as a witness to help a family member gain custody of a preteen daughter who has been involved in a statutory rape case. The mother was aware of the situation as the ''boyfriend'' of the 12 y/o daughter was living in the house with them. I am not sure how to approach a letter to the counsel. Am I supposed to be a witness of the father's character or to the situation at hand? The child has her own myspace page which she claims to be 17 and says lots of things that a 12 y/o shouldn't be involved in. The father has a job but is currently laid off - allowing him more time for her counseling and to keep an eye on her. His custody would allow for a new school district. I was just wondering what I'm too include in a letter of this sort. Thanks!

Re: Custody Case

Who is the attorney you are forwarding this letter to? These are very good and thoughtful observations. That attorney should be able to help unless he or she is representing the parent who wishes to keep the daughter.
