Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Filing for divorce and filing taxes

Myself & MY husband own a S-corporation, He left me in Nov. I filed for Divorce in Dec.We usually get a LARGE amount of taxes back. So he's files immediatley. For some reason he is delaying filing, He said he is waiting until summer.

Is there a reason for this like not having to show his income for the year which should be around 900,000, or could he be trying to file bankruptcy on the company. I know there is sometype of scam going on , He files our daughters with our accountant and she has already gotten her refund. Could he filed with out my name being used or needed? I hope somebody can answer this quickly. I am a wreck trying to figure it out. Thank You

Not sure what to tell you with the limited information provided. In theory, there could be a variety for reasons for the delay including legitimate reasons such as missing tax documentation or accounting issues. There could also be malevolent reasons such as withholding income information or hoping to get the refund for himself. Problem is that he could have already filed married, separate which would not require your name. Call me and maybe I can give you some more details. Steve 440.835.8200
