Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

What about grandparents?

Our son's wife filed for divorce and he was served with a restraining order preventing him from seeing his 21 month old daughter for the present time. We haven't seen our granddaughter in three weeks and would like to visit with her. Do grandparents have any visitation rights? Should we contact an attorney to assist us?

Re: What about grandparents?

Yes, you can file for grandparent visitation, provided that you can establish that the continued relationship is in the best interest of the child.
