Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

single mom wants to move out of state

I have a son who is 14 months old, and has never seen his biological father ( who is married) we recently had to have paternity established due to us getting medical care from the state. Before this I had planned to move out of state to take care of my grandmother. Our support hearing is set for next week and I do not have to be there per turning in info before hand. He knew I was pregnant and that it was his and never tried to contact me. my Q is can i move since there is no support or visitation established and is there a chance i may have to move back. the last thing i need is to end up in trouble.

Re: single mom wants to move out of state

If there is no Court order prohibiting you from moving from Ohio you may. There may be problems after the support hearing if there is an objection filed. In that instance you would have to be present for the subsequent hearing. However, that has nothing to do with parental rights and responsibilities.
