son going to court for domestic violence

my son is due to appear in court on thurs for domestic violence charges against me--his mother....he not only did criminal property damage to my lawn but has also tried on 2 occassions to run me off the road and on july 3rd drove his truck directly at me and my daughter in our car while passing us on the road....my question is what will the judge do? i would like my son to be instructed to seek anger management counselling----this is his first offense..whta can i expect at court? thank you

A client just asked me the same question today. I advised her that the prosecutor will rely on your desires as to sentencing, assuming he pleads guilty. If you want him to go to jail then they will do that, but normally they just do counselling and suspend a lot of jail time and give him a fine. He will also be precluded from having a gun.
