Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

My son is 12 years old and wants to live with his father. His father and I was never married. His father and I are ok with him living with him. Since he is his father he should be able to register him for school with no problem is this correct or do we have to go to court for custody even though there is no custody papers.

I believe you would need to show the district that the father is a residential parent and entitled to have you son enrolled in his father's school district. I suggest calling the school administration office about the kind of paperwork it needs.
