Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

I recently purchased a used motorhome from an older couple, who, it turns out were not exactly forthright about what was wrong with the rv. They said that there were leaks around the windows that they were sealing as they found them. It turns out the roof has apparently leaked for some time(according to repair experts) and will need to be toatlly replaced. I asked them if everything worked on the rv and they replied that yes, everything except the generator which they never used. It turns out that thw water pump in the coach needs to be replaced. They also advertised the rv as a 1996 and it turns out to be a 1995(which I missed on the title until after the deal was done). I am facing $5000-$8000 in repair bills for this. My question is, do I have any legal recourse in this matter, to attempt to retreive some of the money I paid for the rv? Or am I basically out ot luck? Your prompt reply would be appreciated. Dear RV Purchaser: You must look to the terms of your Purchase Agreement with the sellers of the RV. Were there any warranties or gurantees or was this an "As is" sale?

If there was any misrepresentation, deceit, dishonesty or deception on the part of the sellers, you may have recourse in the law by first having your Attorney write them with a demand for settlement. Failing that, you may have to being an action (lawsuit) for your claims.

Be prepared to prove your claims of misrepresentation ,etc., since you were, no doubt, afforded an opportunity to check ourt the purchase before you bought it. At least that's what the defense Attorney will say on behalf of his elderly, honest, sincere clients.

Retain experienced legal counsel ASAP for evaluation, advice and representation. Good luck!

Sincerely, J. Norman Stark.
