Sexual assult by a company representitive contracted to do a job for us

What is the liability of a company where as one of there employees sexually assults an individual during the course of preforming the job. Case of company not preforning a background check to investagate the past of there employees.

The company could very well be liable for damages in a situation like that. It's difficult to tell with so little information, but I'd contact an attorney and sit down to discuss this in detail. Good luck.
