Legal Question in Investment Law in Ohio

I gave $160,000.00 to a financial adviser,I have the reciets,to invest in a steel manufacturing bussiness,which is a LLC.This was suppose to be a three year deal and I was to be payed 12% interest every month.For the first six years they paid me a 1015 dollars a month and then quit about three years ago.Ever sense I have been given the brush off.What I need to know is can I sue the corporation,I was told i couldn't?Can I sue the financial Adviser whom I gave the money to?Can I get my money back w/wo my remaining interest?What kind of lawyer do I need?

This sounds like a ponzi scheme or unregistered securities case. In both of these situations you may bring an action for the unregistered sale of a security against the broker. More importantly the firm that the broker works for may be held liable under Ohio securities law if it failed to properly supervise the broker. Ohio law also allows the award of attorney fees, costs and interest for the unregistered sale of a security. My firm handles many of these cases every year throughout the country.
