Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio

I happened to capture on video in the common stair well that we share, in words coming from their own mouths, that they sell pills to pay for their rent. Long story short, I basically have to carry my camera around as to protect myself against them because they are constantly lying to our landlord as well as the police and saying we did things that we didn't or saying horrible things to us if we pass them by. Anywho, what should I do with this? My first instinct is to go to the police, but they have been less than helpful in the past.

First, call your local police's non-emergency number, explain the situation to them, and ask that they increase patrols or their presence in the area. Second, write a letter to your landlord documenting what you believe to be the illegal behavior your neighbors are engaged in, and ask your landlord to evict or otherwise remove the tenants. Under Ohio law tenants have rights, but they also have responsibilities, and one of those responsibilities is not to use their rental property for illegal purposes.
