The statute of limitations for medical malpractice in Ohio is one year from the time of the incident, or from the time you discovery the injury. The time may be extended if the doctor continues to treat you. From what you tell us, you may well have lost your claim, but you should have an attorney investigate the possibility.

Best of luck,
