Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

I was recently rear-ended in traffic. The driver who hit me was at fault, and his insurance company assessed $2,300 worth of damage to my car. They have sent me a check for that money. The body shop I want to use is able to repair my car for only $600, leaving $1,700 left over. Can I legally keep that $1,700?

It depends. You should probably schedule a free consultation with a reputable local personal injury attorney, especially if you sought medical care following the accident. Good luck.
