Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Eviction of live-in girlfriend

I am owner of a home that my mother recently signed over to me. While in her name she allowed her son (my brother) to reside there out of the goodness of her heart, with no lease. He said he would give her money for living there, but never did, always in and out of work and basically taking advantage of our mother. During that time his girlfriend moved in with him, they're relationship was a volitile one, she was in and out, in and out. Now he is serving a 6 month sentence in jail, the house has been signed over to me. I want to rent the house, evict my brother and his girlfriend. She is refusing to leave. I want to know how I can go about this legally. Thank you.

Re: Eviction of live-in girlfriend

I see that you are in Findlay, Ohio. In order to evict your brother and his girlfriend you need to file an action in the Findlay Municipal Court known as a Forcible Entry and Detainer. I can prepare the necessary documents for you at a minimal cost of $100.00. After the documents are prepared, I will send them to you for your signature, along with instructions for filing. Contact me at 216.241.2500 or [email protected].
