Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

sewer assessment

One year after the purchase of our house we were told that sewers were to be installed and that we had to hook up.We were not told at the time of purchase that this additional cost was to be incured.Do we have a legal right to recoup this cost. Thank You.

Probably not, unless you can prove actual fraud, If the seller knew the hook-up and assessment were imminent, and if they specifically told you otherwise, then you may be entitled to recoup such charges. Steve
