Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Debt Owed to Estate

My mom passed recently. We are now finding debts owed to her by friends and relatives, both in writing and people admitting they owed her money. Is that debt still owed to the estate since she has passed? Her will didn;t talk about debt forgiveness. She died in Ohio.

Those debts would still be valid and assets of the estate. The executor should collect those debts and has a duty to collect the debts.
