Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My father passed away on 12/28/2010. His girlfriend passed away in April 2010. My father was the executor of his girlfriend's estate & then her son took over as executor. Isn't his girlfriend's son responsible for the attorney fees on her estate? I just received a bill in the mail from his girlfriend's lawyer sent to me.

Generally attorney fees are paid out of the estate assets before distributions are made to the beneficiaries.
