Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

illigitimate child due any money after death of father?

I am a 43 year old mother of three in massachusetts. I grew up in Cincinnati. I am an illigitimate child. My father died in 2000. I just found this out 5 minutes ago. I did not find out this man was my father until I was an adult. I remember him coming around when I was very small. I looked up his name on a website and was able to view some information. It looks like he left everything to siblings, nothing to me. Do I have any rights to anything? He is on my birth certificate. I have a disabled child and some recent financial bad fortune and could really use some help now from a father that never gave me any love or help before. Please contact me and I can give you names, etc.

you need to contact an OHIO attorney, I assume that is where he died. You would be best with someone in the same county or city where he died.

Resubmit your question for an Ohio attorney.

I agree.

You or your representative needs to check the will, and the law regarding your ability to intervene or make a claim.
