Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My late wife passed away in 06', we build a house together and my question is am I responsible for the house? The bill comes in as the Estate of her name then me as the C/O co-owner? I called the loan Co and they said that my name was on the mortgage but not on the "NOTE" and that I wouldn't be responsible for payments that my wife would be cause she was the main one on the mortgage. It's not on my credit either so am I responsible for the house or can I let it go into foreclosure? But since she is deceased now does that make me soul owner? Thank you..Please if possible shed some light on this for me..Elmer

You would be sole owner of the home, however you would have to assume the mortgage in order to keep the house. You should consider selling the home and getting the equity out, if any, instead of letting it go into foreclusure.
