stock transfers

my mother has several stocks in a company and has been diagnosed with alheimers disease. she wants to transfer the stock to me before things get worse. how do we transfer these stocks?

You need to contact the company that you hold the stocks with or the transfer company if it is listed to obtain the proper forms to transfer. It may also be a good idea to talk to an attorney who specializes in elder law or Medicaid planning since there is potential that she may enter a nursing home in the near future.
