Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma

I knew I had an outstanding warrent for a bogus check charge from 2004 and I had been aking small monthly payments to the DA on the balance. Due to the fact that I have no transportation of my own I just now (11-13-09) was able to go to the county courthouse in the county where I had the warrent. I made my second payment, then was told to appear in court at a later time on the same date which I did. When my name was called I was given an ROR...than I was taken to jail for a "walk through" which took four hours. I am not complaining about that but I was only given one copy of one of the several pieces of paper that I signed and it plainly states that I was "Read my right and I pled Not Guilty" I wasn't read andthing and I never pled anything. I have never been through anything like this before, but something about this just doesn't seem right. I was aslo told that I have to comtinually appear in court (By the DA's office) monthly until the total balance is paid in full. I live 75 miles away from this County courthouse and I have bone cancer and I truly beleive that they are just making me do this for mean reasons. The Judge told me himself that I could make arrangements with the DA's office but they said they had "their own court". Is their anything I can do? I am not wealthy and really not at all legal savey. Thank You..Patti Pogue
