Legal Question in DUI Law in Oklahoma

old DUI

My husband has had his license in the state of Missouri since 1988, and has never had it revoked. He's never had any problems renewing his license until today he was told that the state of Oklahoma had a hold on his license. When I contacted the Oklahoma DMV, I was told that it was from a DUI in 1986, and that he would have to attend DUI classes and pay a $400 reinstatement fee before they would release the hold. Can they do this after 21 years? What are our options?

Re: old DUI

It appears that your husband may need to employ an Oklahoma attorney to represnt him in trying to straightern the matter out there. Missouri will stand by the hold until Oklahoma says otherwise.

Good Luck
