Divorce Finality

I know there is a 6 month waiting period before a divorce is final, however does it matter that the other party (who initiated the divorce)would not sign the final divorce papers and has stated that because of this the divorce is not final. It will be a year in March, 2001

In Okla a divorce decree becomes final on the day the court enters the decree. The 6 mo. waiting period you are referring to is a 6 mo. prohibition restricting the parties from remarring anyone but each other until after the 6 mo. runs.
