Contract time frame
A contract says that ''X'' will happen in 10 days. Does the day you sign the contract count or could a arguement be made that a ''day'' is 24 hours so the first day does not count???

The general rule is that the day you sign the contract does not count. Say you signed a contract today, May 4, and the contract calls for something to be done within 10 days of execution of the contract. Then that thing must be done, ordinarily, by close of business on the 10th subsequent day, which would be May 14.
