Legal Question in Consumer Law in Oregon
Hello,
I purchased a used 2004 Land Rover. The check engine light came on 2 days after purchase. I noticed that the vehicle had a sticker from the Land Rover service dept and called to make an appointment to get everything looked over. I arrived at my appointment and the service writer didn't want to service the vechile because the already knew it would require and new engine. I was told that the vechile had coolant and oil mixing issue and was recommend to prior owner. Now the dealership I purchased didn't tell me. I am assuming they knew this and even if they didn't what recoarse do I have on this?

I would call Tim Quenelle in Tigard.
You can sue the dealereship for fraud, but you would have to prove that they knew about the problem and deliberately misled you. Can you prove that they knew about it?
