Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oregon

Personal Representative is not doing her job

My mother passed away in December of 2001. Her will stated that her property be sold and the proceeds split evenly amongst her children. The oldest child was named Personal Representative. The property sold and closed 4 months ago, and all of my mothers bills have been paid. We are waiting for a CPA to do her taxes and prepare a final accounting of her expenses. My sister, the Personal Representative, has been doing nothing to keep this process going. The attorney for the estate is waiting on the CPA and the CPA is waiting on the Attorney. My sister refuses to follow up and has hired a CPA and an Attorney that only work 2 days a week. Is there any way for the rest of the siblings to contest her being the Personal Rep and choose somebody else? We would like to get this over with and now they are telling us it won't be done for another three months.

Re: Personal Representative is not doing her job

A PR can ultimately be removed for inactivity. The better approach (cheaper/faster) is to keep on nagging your sister!
