Legal Question in Disability Law in Pennsylvania

Company will not allow me to return to position

I injuried my back at home moving a piece of furniture. Family physician requested lower lumbar series of x-rays. The results that the x-ray showed was a compression fracture of L-2. After referal to an orthopedic surgeon an MRI the compression fracture was confirmed along with an old compression fracture 30 years ago. Orthopod has released me to full duty however I woild have some pain that can be controlled with meds. Company has advised me that they may not allow me to return to my current position for fear of injuring my back further. Do they have the right to keep me from returning if specialist fully releases me with no restrictions?
