Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

Bankruptcy and my bank account

I had my checking account frozen by a law firm representing a creditor who had a judgement against me on thursday. I filed bankruptcy on friday. How long do they have to unfreeze my account? I have heard up to 30 days and then i have heard immediately once they have notice that i filed. I faxed the proff of my filing to them on Friday. I don't have a lawyer helping me. What shoud i do to get my account unfrozen and access to my money?

Re: Bankruptcy and my bank account

The automatic stay goes into effect immediately. Your account should be unfrozen as soon as your bank verifies that the stay is in effect.
