Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

chapter 7

I had a mortage that I was paying on a house. My father-in-law owned the land the house was built on. They paided off the mortage now. Can they come after me for the house if I file chapter 7?

Re: chapter 7

Is the house in your name? If you file a chapter 7, any property in your name which is not exempt under the bankruptcy statutes will be subject to liquidation by your creditors.

I need to know more facts and speak with you before I could give you a good answer on this. I can also help you file for bankruptcy, or make a decision on whether you need it, or another solution. Please give me an email to setup a free consultation.
