Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

pa chapter 13 help

My wife filed ch. 13 in '04 and her pymts have nearly tripled since. She has a hearing soon for a new order since falling behind and a creditor wants their portion to be increased by $400 thats in addtion to the current $2000 pymt. Is there a way out of this and still keep our home ?

It sounds to me like she is in a 100% payback plan to unsecured creditors. If so, she probably needs to have the plan amended to reduce the payments. This may not be possible if she has significant equity in the home since the creditors have to receive as much as they would if it were a liquidation. (Chapter 7). She needs to discuss this with her attorney.
