Principal Definition

Who are the Principals of a corporation? I know who the Directors and Officers are, but not the "Principals". Are they different?

Principals of a Corporation are the owners/shareholders of the Corporation. They may also be officers or directors. Usually they are officers or directors. Think of them as owners of the legal entity. Ownership of a corporation is reflected by owning shares of stock. The owners of the stock are referred to as Principals and or shareholders.
