Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Pennsylvania

Census

What problems and fines can arise from non compliance with the census sent to my address. Many personal questions are asked, All types of billing info, mortage payments, insurance, education and financial questions! Is this not an invasion of one's privacy. I was told that I must comply.

It interesting that you posted this under constitutional law. The Census is mentioned in the US Constitution and gives Congress the duty to conduct a census every 10 years.

The good news is that the Census Bureau is very good about maintaining the privacy of their data. Also, most all the the information is only released in the aggregate. That is they will release data about all the mortgages in your area in terms such as the average mortgage payment similar statistical data that can't be traced to you.

This data is used for many things one of the key ones is determining what areas get federal money.

So the bottom line is verify it is the US Census Bureau asking for the information if it is you should answer.
