Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

I had a credit card debt from years ago. I am looking to get a loan out to buy a house and there was a mark on my record for this debt and I wasn't allowed to get a loan, so I contacted the company, paid it off in FULL and they said that they would take care of removing the judgement against me. Now here I am over a month and a half later and they have not removed it. I have called the debt place several times and they keep sending me to a voicemail account that never returns calls. I am up to calling them 4x a week now and still no satisfaction just voice mailboxes. What can I do, they are stopping me from buying a house!

Get a lawyer. If the debt is not accurately reported on your credit report, you have a case against the credit reporting agencies. Also, the creditor is obligated to mark the judgment satisfied with the court after you paid it. So, you may have a case against the creditor. And talk to your lender. Show the lender your proof of payment. Good luck.
