Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Can a dentist can charge interest on a bill if I make payments on every month? Long story but it was from two years. Because the manager was stealing and wasn't submitting claims, we weren't billed for sometime. They charge me 9.33 a month.

Dentist has to disclose interest rate and disclose policy just like credit cards. State consumers affairs office can give you guidelines.

Dentists are not banks and its not the dentists' fault that your manager was embezzling funds.

However, it seems unfair to be charging you as well if you did not participate or know of this.

Does your dentist have a policy? $9.33 seems a little high, but I do not know what kind of work you had done or if interest would even be justified here.

Anything is negotiable - I would try and negotiate and settle for less provided that you can afford to pay the settlement in a lump sum.
