Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

The legal way to sell a vehicle

I recently recieved a letter from a lawyer demanding I return a vehicle, that was in my name only, to his client. When the vehicle was purchased his client and I were living together. His client has his drivers license suspended.I wrote the check out to purchase the vehicle out of a joint checking account. The vehicle was in my name only.I paid the insurance on said vehicle since it was purchased.I have had the vehicle in my possession since March 2001 and now in September he is threatening to sue for it.Do I legally have to return this vehicle to him or give him any money for it?

Re: The legal way to sell a vehicle

Based on what you have stated it would appear the vehicle belongs to you. I would suggest contacting a local attorney to go over this in more detail. My office is in Pittsburgh, we provide a no cost initial consultation.
