Liens on property
Can a company place a lien on a property or vehicle owned by a married couple if only one of the people have the lien and it was acquired before they were married?

It would remain a lien on the property but if the property is owned as tenants by the entireties, jointly by husband and wife with right of survivorship, creditors cannot execute (take) the property. If a creditor attempts to do so, the other spouse may have to file a claim for exemption with the Sheriff or Constable.
