I don't understand. If you bought a truck from a private party, there should be a bill of sale with the agreed upon price.

What do you mean by "titled sales price?" There is no selling price on a title to the car. If you bought the vehicle from a dealer, the loan documents and car sale documents would indicate the sales price.

If you bought the car from your ex-boss privately but he did not have the title because he was still financing it, then you, he and the lender would have had to have a discussion to find out the exact payoff amount on the loan. If your ex-boss told you one thing and the lender told you another, then the lender is not going to release the title unless they are paid in full. The way to avoid this was to have a discussion with the seller and the lender.

If the lender wants more money, then you and the seller are going to have to have a chat about this.

If you are talking about something else, maybe someone else whill know what a titled sales price is. Or you can try re-posting your question with more information or go to a local attorney and pay him or her to review the documentation for you.

This is not really a credit/collection/debt question. Its a question about consumer finance/contract. you need a general consumer lawyer.
