Secured Credit Card Judgement

I am scheduled to go before the court for a judgement on non payment of a secured credit card. Can they take personal property, garnish my wages, or take my mobil home?

Re: Secured Credit Card Judgement

They can take whatever the card is secured by. What was your agreement? That's the idea behind them giving you the card. I have little to no sympathy for credit card companies, because I think they give people credit where they know it won't be used properly, and they will end up in trouble and owing money - BUT, I also do not understand how many people can outright abuse the card, then want to get out of repaying what they borrowed. Chances are you have a HIGH interest rate, high yearly fees, and high late fees and penalties.

Hopefully you just had trouble and didn't make stupid purchases with your card. Have you spoken with the credit card company? If you owe much, you may want to speak with a bankruptcy attorney.
