Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

17 year old son with record

My son tried to break into a friends house to get his property. The family was on vacation, and when they returned the found the broken window. They called the police, who dusted for fingerprints. When I found out I made my son confess to our friends. They went to the police and signed a waiver dropping the charges. The police found a match on the prints and have asked us to bring our son in for questioning. Our son has 8 minor charges from 2 previous but different circumstances. What should I expect when I take my son in?

Re: 17 year old son with record

If the victims have dropped the charges, I do not see anything but a down side to having your son talk to the police.
