Are police allowed to enter a locked vehicle without a warrant or permission from the owner ,and drive it from one location to a police station.

there is an inventory exception to the warrant requirement. however, often the cops don't follow their own inventory procedure, which must be laid out and in writing for the officer to get past this exception. i have won this type of motion several times. good luck. [email protected]
